How Does Insulation Control Pests?

The first method is mechanical – insulation is simply difficult for pests to crawl through. We combine this with a pest control additive that is deadly to certain arthropods, including the following:

Sow bug

It’s important to note that this additive isn’t effective against larger pests, like rodents, and even other arthropods, like bees. Depending on the type of pest infestation you’re dealing with, you may need other treatments instead of (or in addition to) attic insulation.

How Our Insulation Process Works

Every pest control service we provide is tailored to your specific needs, so no two services will be exactly the same. However, broadly speaking, each of our attic insulation services will go like this:

Inspection. Each of our services starts with a thorough inspection to ensure that the space is ready for insulation. If you’re dealing with any existing infestations, we may recommend other services as well.
Preparation. When the area is clear of pests, moisture, and any structural damage, we’ll prepare to insulate it.
Installation. Our insulation is applied with a “blown-in” method, meaning it is sprayed over the surface with a hose. Depending on the size of the room we’re insulating, this process can take about four to six hours.
It’s that simple! Once the insulation is in place, we clean up after ourselves.
